All passengers on the Santa Cruz were divided up into groups and assigned Galápagos related names. Our group was call the "Boobies".
Our group included Canadians, Germans, Scots, and Americans

Good photos Dad! That sea turtle is beautiful! And I like how lazy the sea lions seem. And those red crabs- do people try to catch and eat them? They are a great color!
ReplyDeleteThanks Emma! The sea lions do look lazy, but Gabriel explained that when they dive down deep and hold their breath, CO2 accumulates, and by laying on the beach, somehow they eliminate it. You could hear them sigh frequently.
ReplyDeleteI loved the color of those crabs and snapped quite a few photos because of that. I never thought to ask if they are for eating.
